Kim Overstreet

Director

Kim Overstreet is the Director for Open Arms Early Childhood Development Center.  She holds a bachelors degree in Child and Family Development from Missouri State University and has been in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years.  Kim has 3 passions in life: her relationship with God, her family, and the opportunity to work with children and families.  She has 3 children and a loving husband of almost 30 years.  Kim feels extremely blessed to be a part of a ministry that sees the value in early childhood education.

Dave Benson

Pastoral Advisor

The Rev. Dr. David M. Benson, better know as “Pastor Dave,” is the founding pastor of the Open Arms Early Childhood Development Center in Ozark, Missouri. Pastor Dave received his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO and his Master’s of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He has served at congregations, universities and ministries in Wisconsin, Virginia, and Missouri. He currently serves as the Pastoral Advisor to Open Arms ECDC and is the chair of the ECDC Board. Pastor Dave also sings and plays guitar and makes appearances at Open Arms classes and events from time to time. He is married to his lovely and supportive wife, Jan (Janice nee Talman). Pastor Dave and Jan reside in Springfield, MO. They have 2 adult daughters, 2 sons-in-law and 3 grandsons.

Jessica Powell

Assistant Director

2yr Old Lead Teacher

Jessica has worked at Open Arms since 2017. She began as an assistant watching and learning, then taking over as a lead. She has worked with all age groups from birth through school age. After college and having pursued other career options, she found her calling and a home here. If you have ever been near her room you have heard her singing, dancing, telling stories, or being overly excited about curriculum. As Jessica continues her role as lead teacher in our two year old classroom, she also serves as the assistant director for Open Arms.
